EXTENDED TOURS

Ahhhhhhhh, to be in the south and see the lovely azaleas. We fly into and out of New Orleans – but travel all around the area – even into Natchez, Mississippi start our sightseeing. This city of bygone era pre – Civil War days is a charming town and we will visit two restored historic mansions.

Back in Louisiana we head for Cajun country and the famous statue of Evangeline who waited for her Gabriel. In Baton Rouge we see the past and present capitol buildings and Governor’s mansions. We will have lunch and tour the Civil War Mansion, Houmas House. Let’s go see the impressive Mardi Gras World where the best parade floats are built. Our city tour of the Big Easy includes market places, wharves, dueling spots, millionaires’ homes, and gardens. In Houma we get a good taste of Cajun tradition, music and hospitality. Start with a swamp boat tour and see the brilliant flora, birds and reptiles. Now at a gator farm we see the giant ones and even hold a baby one! We end this wonderful tour with a visit to the National WWII Museum where we see movies, displays of D-Day invasion relics and more.
